Lycoming's schedule...Please tell me the Record v Ranked...There SOS is currently .560 which is just above the bubble...It will go up after playing Hood and Oneonta and a couple MACC playoff games...I bet it finishes at .580 which is good but again what is their record v ranked?  0-1-0 against Eastern who might not be ranked next week either..and 1-0-0 against messiah who might frop of the rankings also but their SOS might keep them there, that is debatable.  So RvR is 1-1-0...with a .580 SOS they will get in with that but it is not a definite. If they have a 0-1-0 RvR if Messiah drops out then you are talking BUBBLE team which is what I stated to begin with. Lycoming is a BUBBLE team but most likely on the right side of it.

9/1 vs. Eastern •  L, 1-0
9/4 at Scranton •  W, 3-0  BX
9/6 at York (Pa.) •  W, 3-2  BX
9/9 vs. Susquehanna •  W, 4-2  BX
9/12 vs. Geneva •  W, 2-0
9/16 vs. Juniata •  W, 6-0  BX
9/19 vs. Keystone •  W, 5-1  BX
9/21 at Mount Aloysius •  W, 2-0  BX
9/26 at Rochester •  T, 0-0  BX
9/29 at Penn College •  Postponed
10/3 vs. Albright * •  W, 4-0
10/6 at Stevenson * •  W, 5-0  BX
10/10 at Arcadia * •  T, 1-1
10/14 vs. Messiah * •  W, 2-0  BX
10/17 at Alvernia * •  W, 2-1
10/20 vs. Lebanon Valley * •  W, 1-0
10/24 vs. Hood * •  2:00 PM  LS V
10/28 vs. Oneonta State •  3:30 PM
10/31 vs. Widener * •  3:00 PM

I thought .500 was the magical number? They aren't a bubble team at the moment and until they stumble they will continue to be safe. Messiah most likely won't drop out of the rankings. JHU and Dickinsons record vs ranked isn't any better than Messiahs. Keep that in mind.

Mr. Right makes up numbers depending on the week. One week .530 is good enough the next you need .655 to not be a bubble team.

Easy now. It could change depending on the year although I do think Mr. Right you hold a very high threshold and thin line for teams that probably should have a little more leeway for the time being.

The section what I put in bold is what I have been trying to say to you the past couple weeks. Don't disagree with you their. And they still have Oneonta St. left so that will add to their record vs ranked for better or for worse. Either way Oneonta St. is not dropping out of the rankings in their region. I don't think Messiah will either. As long as Messiah wins out they should be okay. I will check some stuff out later and put a comparison together for the region but I will post it in the Mid-Atlantic Region topic/section.  :)

In the Tues/Weds action, I would also highly recommend:

Loras @ Dubuque
Wesleyan @ Conn Coll
Gordon @ Endicott
St Johns @ Macalester

Calvin @ KZoo
Bowdoin @ Tufts
Greensboro @ NC Wesleyan
W&L @ Randolph

Mr.Right

Williams at Midd....Midd has not beaten Williams since 2010...If Williams get the win and Midd loses in the 1st round of Nescac Play-offs, there season will be OVER....BIG GAME

Mr.Right

I also think Gordon v Endicott will be interesting. Endicott has to feel slighted that they were not ranked and Gordon was because of SOS but I think Endicott comes out like gangbusters with a chip on their shoulder and basically ends any chance or even if there was a chance at a Pool C for Gordon

0-0 into OT at Calvin - 38 total fouls in the 10/3 game.  This time at Kzoo - very plausible for Kzoo to knock them from the unbeatens.

Curious to see how F&M recovers over the next few games. I also think one that was not in bold that we should look at is Etown @ Scranton. Top 2 teams in the conference clashing. Both have already secured the top 2 spots. I wonder if Etown will rest and get healthy? Scranton back in the playoffs for the first time since 2012 I believe? Have been quietly dangerous this year. That's a must watch game in my book and one that I will be tuning into for sure.

Also intrigued by CMU @ Chicago...we will see if D3 Soccer Poll is right or if they are overrated and a fluke as I see them. Cheering for Chicago in this one!  ;D

Top 5 Games of the Day:

1. Kenyon at Ohio Wesleyan
2. Newark at Montclair
3. Oneonta St. at Lycoming
4. F&M at Gettysburg
5. Stevens at MIT

Honorable Mention:

Calvin at Kalamazoo
UWW at UWP
Williams at Middlebury
TCNJ at Rowan
Stockton at Camden
Wabash at DePauw

Any news on cancellations yet due to predicted rain in the forecast? It has been raining across the great lakes and north east since last night. Obviously grass fields will be a no go but with anticipated wind gusts up to 35mph in most states it will be interesting to see outcomes of games and cancellations. Non-conference action would be cancelled before conference if I had to guess.

FYI - the Etown game is at home v Scranton with a 1pm kick off - not @ Scranton. Should be an interesting game but one that Etown should come out on top in.

Will they play even on the grass field and chop it up? I know it's Saturday but with all this rain it still might be soggy. Does it drain well? They will host all the way to the final so bad field conditions could be in the back of their minds. Any turf fields they would possibly move it to?

igotthisfeeling

It does drain pretty well and they don't practice on that field so that will help keep it in good shape going into the weekend. Field has held up great all year so I don't see this time being any different! There is a local turf field they have played on before but that is a worst case scenario to go that route.
