Appreciate the effort to post a picture, but can't expand on it/zoom in  at all.

Sorry about that.  I realized it afterward and posted a link to the original source. If you click on the highlighted part of the post, you can see it better.

Quote from: Kuiper on Yesterday at 06:05:00 PMThis is not men's soccer-specific, but I thought people might be interested in the final DIII Learfield Directors Cup rankings by conference.  It's probably not surprising that NESCAC and UAA are 1 and 2 in every season by a substantial margin, but it might surprise some to see how high the WIAC is in the rankings.

True. I know that a significant proportion of the posters in the men's soccer section of D3boards (and I'm guessing a large proportion of the lurkers as well) are soccer-only types who don't follow any other D3 sports -- and may therefore be unaware that the WIAC, which is pretty marginal in terms of success in this sport (especially since UW-Oshkosh originally shut down its program a dozen years ago), is an absolute behemoth in terms of overall success in D3 sports.

F'rinstance, one can't imagine a season of D3 football, men's basketball, or baseball in which the WIAC didn't have at least one national powerhouse team, usually more. In some sorts, such as women's volleyball, it's not unusual to see half of the WIAC listed in the national rankings.

Got it, thanks.

Maybe I am crazy, but prior to the pandemic, I think the Director's Cup league standings would have mostly had the NESCAC and WIAC as 1 and 2.
