Quote from: cubs on December 06, 2025, 02:03:42 PMNot to be outdone, Platteville making some mistakes of their own. After jumping out to a quick 10-0 lead, though one could argue it could be more after settling for a FG despite having 1st and Goal from the one yard line. That defensive stop seemed to shift the momentum, as Bethel went down and scored to make it a 10-7 game. The Pioneers then put a drive together but throw an INT at the two yard line on 2nd Down. Platteville seems to answer with an INT of their own but a roughing the passer penalty wipes it out and Bethel scores after the second chance to take a 14-10 lead.
Platteville in position to score before the half with another 1st and Goal inside the Bethel 10 yard line and promptly turns it over on a sack/fumble with under 20 remaining.

Thanks for the recap. I was at the Wisconsin-Marquette game so I could only check the scores now and then. Congratulations to River Falls on your big win today. They will be hosting Wheaton which has been somewhat of a surprise this playoff season.

Platteville wins over Alma 24-7.  The real winner was Mother Nature around 12 inches of snow high winds were factors today. A few times the Refs stopped the game to allow the ground crew to clear off the yard lines. Platteville scored on 2 time consuming drives one was 99 yards near the end of 2nd quarter. The 2nd drive came in the 3rd quarter a 80 plus yard drive which ate up around 8 minutes. Zac Bothun rushed for over 140 yards. Platteville passed for over 200 yards in very difficult conditions. At this time it looks like Platteville will be at Bethel next weekend.

Quote from: USee on November 16, 2025, 05:49:36 PMNot sure I would consider DePauw a favorable home game. They are much better than usual this year. Took JCU to the wire. They have an explosive offense and a top 10 run defense. I think UWP got a better draw than UWW.
Don't know much about Alma except they lost to River Falls 45-33 to open the season. The winner will play either Bethel, Coe or Concordia in the 3rd round.

Platteville beats Carroll 88-80 in a battle of the Pioneers. Platteville took a 46-42 lead into halftime following a back and forth 1st half. Platteville held Carroll scoreless for the first 5 minutes of the 2nd half to open up a 58-42 lead. Bristol Lewis led Platteville with 24 and Fuhremann followed with 21.

Platteville takes care of Eau Claire 55-28. Eau Claire was down 28-21 with about 3 minutes left in the 1st half. After that it was all Platteville. Nate Uselding was 20 of 26 for 300 yards. Zach Bothun rushed for 71 yards to lead Platteville. Now its wait for the selection show tomorrow.

Platteville loses to Coe 71-68. Coe led most of the game but the largest lead was 6 points. Coe kept making shots when PLatteville tied or took a small lead. About half way through the 2nd half Platteville discovered that Coe couldn't stop Joey Fuhremann so they kept feeding him the ball but it was to little to late. Bristol Lewis led Platteville with 21 points followed by Fuhremann with 16. Platteville plays Carroll tomorrow.

I'm glad there are people that post here that are smarter than me. I grew up with slide rules and phones that had rotary dials. Let's hope everyone wins their last game.

Platteville wins their opener over Nebraska Wesleyan 78-62. Max Love led the Pioneers with 25 points. Platteville has to replace Pearson, Probst and Olson from last years team. It looks like Love, Lewis and Wieczorek are ready to step in. Hettinger and Fuhremann played well again. I saw something new this year for a few minutes they had both Hettinger and Fuhremann on the court at the same time. Platteville has some newcomers that played well this afternoon. Lucas Rameker who played some last year had a good game Max Lucy and freshman Kaden McKenzie played meaningful minutes.

Quote from: palum on November 08, 2025, 06:19:25 PMRF is in the drivers seat but they have to face Stout next weekend. LaX, Platteville and WW are all at 4-2 with one week to go. Platteville, beat LaX but lost to WW. LaX beat WW but lost to Platteville. WW beat Platteville but lost to LaX. What is the tie breaking criteria? If everybody wins next week (in the WIAC that's a big if) RF will get the automatic bid. Will the WIAC get 2 Pool C bids and how will they figure that out? Will LaX playing only 9 games hurt them? Will WW playing a NAIA school hurt them? Should be a interesting couple of weeks.
River Falls clinched the automatic bid with their win today as they already have the head-to-head win over anyone they might tie with.

If Platteville, Whitewater and La Crosse all win next week, the WIAC will likely earn three at-large bids to go along with River Falls automatic bid.
I hope your right. But I don't see the WIAC getting 4 teams.

Platteville did everything it could in the 4th quarter to let Stout back in the game and with a chance to win at the end. An interception, 2 pass interference penalties in the end zone and giving up an onside kick. But a win is a win. RF is in the drivers seat but they have to face Stout next weekend. Platteville takes care of Oshkosh 21-14. The game was not as close as the final score. Oshkosh scored on a 60 plus yard pass and had one sustained drive. Platteville controlled the line going on long time consuming drives led by its running attack. A turnover on downs inside the 10 and 2 missed field goals kept the score closer than it really was. Platteville has Stout and EC left. If they win out it would take some help for them to get a playoff bid.
