Back to back big wins in Collegeville for the Bears as their defense continues to cause chaos in the backfield. I'm taking Rios for 3+ TFLs and Machado for 3+ TD passes.

Pat - That may be true in some cases, but I was at the Muhlenberg/Union game and went up to the press box at halftime to find out what the streaming issues were (I kept getting calls from family saying they had no video or audio). The transmission problem was clearly on the ESPN side of things, as the folks had been in touch with ESPN and were aware of the issue.  On top of that, it was multiple games at multiple sites, so I don't buy the "it's a local D3 college technical (in)capability."   The NCAA needs to take ESPN to task and get it right for all games & all sites.  I realize this is D3 and ESPN probably doesn't give a hoot, but I doubt they will be refunding anyone's subscription .....

Tsk tsk, HS9-0.......if this truly is the list of the BEST records each season, you have conveniently forgotten that Amherst also went 8-1 in 2018...

Unfortunately for the Mammoths, 2018 was the ONE (and only) time NESCAC decided that the tiebreaker would be the head-to-head result to determine the conference champion.   Trin beat Amherst 27-16 that season, but Trin lost to Williams 21-16 early in the season.  Amherst whipped Williams 45-14 at the end of the campaign.

A six-way tie for first place in the NESCAC after three games - no remaining undefeated teams mean a wild season is going to be even more puzzling to figure out week to week.

Amherst looked like its old self in the first half - dominating defense and opportunistic offense with some big chunk plays....not sure the same offense showed up in the 2nd half though.  Great win for Coach Mills!

Nescac1 may have forgotten this one from 2017 - in a thriller, Williams beat visiting Amherst 31-24 in OT with the Mammoths going for league crown. Amherst stormed back after being down 24-3 tying game on a pick-six.  Bobby Maimaron scored four TDs for the Ephs, including the game winner.  Amherst finished 7-2 and Williams 6-3 - both behind Trinity 8-1 that year.

I know it's hard to be consistently good every week for an entire season. But this is a nine week season, and Wes almost always finds a way to drop a game like this against a team they should beat 95 times out of 100. I don't even know what to say at this point.

Hamilton, Colby, and Wesleyan can each claim a share of a championship (in 1987, 2000, and 2013 respectively).

Mole, it looks like we may have duplicated our efforts but glad to see that your research turned up the same results. It bears repeating that in 51 seasons of NESCAC play there's been only two years where either Trinity, Williams, Amherst, or Middlebury didn't end up with the best record (Tufts in 1979, '86). In addition only Hamilton (1987), Colby (2000) and Wesleyan (1997, 2013) can claim even a tri-championship.

Since the formal inception of the NESCAC it really seems to be those top four programs and then everyone else.

I was on the Hamilton FB staff in 1987, and it was a very good team, losing one NESCAC game (14-9 to Trinity) and one OOC game (7-0 to Brockport in a horrific snowstorm) Had Herb Hand as an OT (now a D-1 OLine coach on the squad).    Hamilton has not matched six wins since then.....

Trinity lost one NESCAC game that year (13-10 to Amherst) and lost vs. Coast Guard 30-6 - I believe Rich Nagy was their stud TB then. 

Amherst lost two NESCAC games that year:  29-7 vs Bowdoin and 25-7 vs Williams.   

Bates had Chris Hickey as TB who was a major offensive weapon.  Ironic that Chris' son and my son ended up as teammates for Amherst FB in the late 2010's.

This is NESCAC's version of the "participation trophy". Our recollection is that NESCAC did use head-to-head as a league champion tie breaker in football for perhaps a year or two and then scrapped it for some reason. As we have discussed (and previously shared the link to the documentation on the NESCAC web-site), they are just happy with ties now.

NM is right.  The only time this happened/mattered in the 9-game NESCAC era was in 2018 when Amherst and Trinity both finished 8-1, but the Bantams won the head-to-head matchup...while they were disappointed, no squawking came from the Mammoths.  NESCAC changed its direction soon thereafter, so co-champs could exist.

The sound is still not working for UMHB & Muhlenberg....   it is really disappointing, given the high production quality...how does the streamer get notified.?
