I didn't see any changes to the 2 deep.  GCC has some big boys up front on the OL and the starting FB and RB both checking in at 225 lbs.  Should be a physical game for the D.

6-8 305 is a monster D3 tackle.  GCC seems to be using the old playbook of scheduling Mount to take the next step as a program.  They are building a very good program over there, hell of a turn around.  With those type of kids in Western PA, they are going to be a tough, physical, top 15 (or better) type squad for years to come.  Mount will be glad to have the bye after

They went toe to toe with semi-finalist JHU last year, this should be a very good test for the Purple Raiders.

Quote from: Pat Coleman on September 09, 2025, 12:03:08 PMIt will be there. This game is being broadcast by KDKA+, digital channel for a station in Pittsburgh, and they haven't released the link yet.

KDKA+ did a great job with the games it broadcast last year. It was a great production. Hopefully the same standards this year!

I follow the PAC quite a bit, Pat is not underselling it, KDKA+ has phenomenal production, they had live drone shots last year!

per the Sammy B show on 1310, Dartt interview today

- Junior Collins is the OC

- happy about O-line depth.  Lavelle actually started a game in his freshman year at C, but tore his ACL (?).  Happy with Gio, Fortner, Lavelle as experienced starters

- 494-35-3 OAC record since the inception of the league, weird thing to bring up

- how to handle the first road trip, GD is impressed with Grove City's "gameday environment"

- Transfers:  Cockrell and Grant - lots of explosive plays, Kosta T- can't pronounce his last name but all "were always Raiders" just took them a year or so to find their way to Mount

- Mike Franklin - great punter, recruited by Dartt.  Correctable things on special teams

- biggest jump should be from week 1 to week 2

- tuesday practice was "way better" than last tuesday's practice

- the three captains (gio, kaleb, cooper) dont let the team practice "without intent"

- 10 Mount alums on the staff (Lou Berry, Marcus Jackson are new guys)

Question for the Mount historians, when is the last time ya'll lost a regular season out of conference game, the 90s?

It was in the game notes for this week's game. Mount last lost a non-conference regular season game to Denison on September 16, 1989.

I think Denison was still running the Single Wing in '89.
12-0 = 13

The one stat I saw mentioned in the game notes that is both not surprising but also completely ridiculous...Mount has not been shut out for 562 straight games.  I believe it said 1981 was the last time they were shut out.

after the quick flip to fall, looking like a warm one tomorrow for the OAC teams.  Hopefully the boys have been hydrating and we'll likely see some more depth needed

Maloney looks like the real deal and an upgrade from last year.  Paraphrasing Kehres, it's my intention to start every year with a good qb. Mission accomplished.
