Marietta certainly didn't play well (and the passing offense is a major issue), but Capital is much improved. Watch for them to get better as the season progresses. Coach who is willing to take some risks (fake punt, going on 4th downs, etc.) and it paid off yesterday. They'll get some wins in conference play.

BW played with great pride and dominated the line of scrimmage the first half. However, once again,Bw's  secondary was simply no match for the passing offense of the Purples. We have too many fast guys, a sophisticated attack, led by Coach Collins, and super skilled players. Obviously BW got outcoached in the halftime locker rooms. Coach Dartt has blasted three good teams and put together a Championship team. We're Number One.

Should be smooth sailing thru the rest of the OAC schedule for the Purple gang.

Nov 8th Game @ Marietta is going to be the only test left on the Mount Union Schedule. (Assuming they get their Running Back, he left with an Injury early yesterday)

My jury is still out on Dartt and this years Purples. Sure - 3 wins is great to start the year. But they have looked good  - but not great, and have at times looked sloppy and unprepared. Time will tell but Dartt needs a ring to quiet most of the Mounties.

We aren't #1.  They have beaten 3 good teams, but I'm w Desertraider, Dartt needs a title.  Until that happens or you beat NCC you aren't #1.  To be fair here, that's not about him.  If VK was the HC and hadn't won a title the peanut gallery would be even louder right now.  You've beaten 3 teams that won't see the semis.  That's expected TBH.  They have 2 months to tighten things up because they won't be challenged again in any real sense (sorry Etta).

Agree, I do not see the Raiders being challenged by the rest of the OAC this season. Use the upcoming games to prepare for the playoffs. Need to win a title and in Canton would be nice.  Did not see the BW game, but I find it a bit strange that the Raider run defense was not there in the first half.

the Capital-Heidi game looks to be a lot more interesting than it appeared to be prior to the season.

maybe ONU and Etta looking a little less impressive than anticipated last week was a case of looking ahead to this week's matchup between the Pios and Polar Bears.  Should be a good game in Ada

Yeah, after seeing Grove City get the doors blown off by 0-2 Washington and Jefferson I'm a bit less optimistic about this team. Excited for sure, but I view the GCC stomp as much less impressive than I did a week or two ago. I thought GCC was an elite team but I think they're merely "good"

I hate that college football is this way, but I wouldn't worry about that at all

Some of us are old enough to remember when Cap was a major threat in the playoffs and Berg was a guaranteed 50 point win.  And no, that's not fun to admit.
