Excited for the new year!!!!

You're joking about the amount of info we have gotten, right?

Tongue in cheek, what I'm saying is... we've never gotten preseason information in the past couple of years. They decide to drop an Instagram practice reel, practice photos, update the roster and give us a decent article on the team page that actually includes information on some transfers and incoming freshmen... all in the past week....I feel like that hasn't really happened if the Canton Rep didn't do something on their own. Transfer and freshmen info only came from rumors.

Heidi all over Hiram in the first half

Etta up 6-0 heading to half in a defensive battle

Could the OAC get off to a 2-0 start tonight?

Dr. Acula

Ty Poorman starting at QB in Tiffin huh?  Can't ask for easing in more than playing Hiram I guess.

Just fired up the live stream and Etta is up 12-8 in the 3rd.  That'd be a solid win if the Pios get it done.

I'm surprised the Frank Rossi show didn't travel to Tiffin...

Marietta has an elite D3 LB group.  Very solid defense

Dr. Acula

Etta closes it out 12-8 and Berg obviously coasting against the Puppies.  Good start for the OAC.

Marietta's defense still looks great,  Westminiter went nowhere until like their last drive of the first half, I have them as the #2 OAC team this year  8-)

Breaks me to have to pay to watch my OAC games, got the subscription 5 minutes before kickoff

Marietta defense hasn't missed a beat from last year, despite 4 new guys up front. Very similar story to what we've seen in that teams can generally not gain much of anything on the ground.

A bit concerned about our offense, but Westminster was a very good defensive team last year and returned a lot of guys. Marietta's senior QB threw 3 picks against them last season, so I think playcalling was intentionally to ground and pound.

Congrats to Heidelberg on the blowout. Was a bit surprised to see Hiram put up 400+ yards. Assuming most of that was against back-ups?

That game was free to watch through Westminster's website

I assume that as the OP was BergAlum he was referring to Heidelberg's game as the one that required a Flo subscription. I enjoyed watching the OAC games in years past in between NCAC games, so I'm going to enjoy these inter-conference games while I can get them for free.
A fan of good football - wherever it may be found.

Only watched the first half, but Hiram had some success with some longer passes.  Hiram is bad but Heidelberg is also not that great either, so I am not surprised we gave up that much.  I remember looking at the box score close to half time and Hiram had like more than double the yards compared to the Berg yet the score was 30-7

with Bluffton as the only other OOC game for Marietta, as long as the Pios dont really take a dive in the new OAC, they are looking like a playoff participant.  9-1 is basically a lock, 8-2 there's a chance.  The BW-Etta game is looking like a play-in game for the NCAA tourney

BW will be a big one. Will be curious to see if they easily handle Wittenberg this weekend. Lots of returning production for the Jackets. Certainly also can't overlook the game @ONU or Heidelberg at home.

Muskie is going to be better this year. Could see them in the Hunt with Berg/ONU.  Marietta beat BW 47-7 last year and BW's only score came in the final seconds.  I was surprised to see them pick ahead of Marietta by the OAC Coach's, although I do think they will be improved in 2025.
