CAT BAT 22

Ok, I got it... if we wouldn't beat all these teams, they'd actually have a better record...and our SOS would be right where it needs to be.   :o

don't know what LF sos # is, is it possible it will rise above oshkosh and put is a #2 seed in west prior to playoffs? I would think that would make sure we could  beta round #2 home game.
keep in mind also that just being the #2 (or #3) seed does not necessarily mean we will be in line (or not in line) for round 2 home game---because, we could end up a higher (or lower) seed in the actual bracket depending on how they set things up (we probably won't be in an "all west" region bracket) and only the top team in each bracket is officially seeded (so we're told).....

"Officially seeded" yes we found that out in 3rd round last year.

Actually, the result in the games against your opponents doesn't count.  So Whitworth's contribution to Linfield's SOS right now is 7-0; you don't count the result vs. Linfield.  So Linfield isn't sabotaging it's own SOS by winning all of their games.   :)

I expect team to take this is being "disrespected" with a huge chip on thy shoulder and just charge thru the competition like last year with exception of 1 4th quarter drive... and of course....win again:-)
Still mad.. Go cats!!

[No surprised at all based on what others have already stated.  We're going to get put on an extremely tough path one way or another when compared to other highly ranked teams (*cough* Mount Union *cough*) but I've come to accept our fate out here in the far west.

WC11, agree 100%.    The facts are the West coast only has 2 or 3 votes.    The Midwest has far more.   They have the votes and most never see Linfield play.   This is really nothing new.   For you youngsters, this goes back to the Big Ten-PCC  Rose Bowl days of the '50s.

But, the Wildcats will do well no matter where they play.

The far West also has just two conferences.  The Midwest has far more.
