Props to Bearcat linebacker Brendan Manion, Jr.,  for being named to the D3Football.com Team of the Week:

"LB Brendan Manion, Jr., Willamette
Manion scored on a 37-yard interception return in the second quarter at East Texas Baptist for a 24-6 halftime lead, and registered 14 tackles (nine solo) during the game, including 2.5 tackles for losses (one sack). He also forced two fumbles recovered by Willamette. One fumble was at the WU 12 and the other was at the WU 2."   Manion Named to D3football.com Team of the Week

Props to Taylor Wyman for being named NWC Defensive Student-Athlete of the Week (Sep. 23-29) and to Manion for the NWC Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week award:

Wyman rushed 18 times for 117 yards and scored two touchdowns on runs of 53 and 6 yards in Willamette's 45-25 win at East Texas Baptist. His 53-yard score gave Willamette a 14-6 lead with 8:52 left in the first quarter. His 6-yard touchdown was scored with 10:08 remaining in the game. He averaged 6.5 yards per carry in wet conditions after the game started one hour and 35 minutes late due to the weather. Willamette rushed for 330 yards on 62 carries during the game."

Don't forget - Wyman was named Special Teams Student-Athlete of the Week too!

"As the team's punter, Wyman averaged 38.1 yards on seven punts with a long of 49 yards. He also took six kickoffs and averaged 56.2 yards. Five of his kickoffs were caught inside the 10-yard line before being returned. In addition, he registered one assisted tackle on a Willamette kickoff."
