I nearly spit my coffee out this morning when Keith (on the Podcast) made a comment about UPS having a "nice field"....   ???

Not discounting that the Johnnies could pull one out against U$T(D), I think the two strongest teams this year are Linfield and UST. My prediction is that the Semis will be UWO/UMU and Linfield/UST.

D O.C.

Could he have meant PLU? It held up it looked like - from the far away camera at least.

I don't think so since he said he stopped by the campus one time when in Tacoma....and PLU doesn't have their own field (at least to play games on).

Our nomination to D3football.com's play of the week.  Kennedy Johnson's 2nd Punt return for TD.

I knew it was good when I saw it on Saturday but your footage really makes it more impressive than the PLU video feed that was taken from the Space Needle.

Great return, but I think the poor tackling might hurt the 'degree of difficulty' points...

2015 All-NWC team is out:  http://nwcsports.com/sports/fball/2015-16/releases/All-NWC-FBALL-2015

Hoff and Riddle named Players of the year and Coach Smith Coach of the Year.

I don't like THREE running backs named to the first team but these are the NWC coaches we're talking about and they are just upholding the long time tradition of over stuffing in the 1st unit.  But, that's really my only gripe.  Other than that, I think that's about right....no major oversights that I can see.

and only 1 first team QB and they finally decided that the POY is also a first team guy (didn't they used to omit them from the all conference first team?).  Also-isn't John Shaffer a Sr.?

They did omit the POY from the 1st team as a work around to get someone else 1st team run but that only happened one or two years before they dumped that terrible idea.

Shaffer is a senior

Westside

Cats defense getting some major love on the All-NWC.

A few thoughts on the team:

I think it is a testament to the balance of Linfield's offense when Riddle gets POY and there isn't a single Linfield WR on the list.

I actually thought Payne would get POY after he led the conference in rushing and was 2nd in TDs.

Surprised Kekel didn't even get honorable mention when his numbers were, arguably, better than Farlow and Reamer's.

I thought Derek Chase, PLU, was worthy of making the list.
