Whitewater earns the #3 seed and will open up the World Series against the #6 seed Trinity. The other two teams in the grouping are #2 Dennison and #7 Rowan.

Thanks Blue Devil Bob! I've been following this league for over 30 years (when it was still the WSUC) as a fan, player, and now again as a fan so I enjoy posting more regularly during baseball season!

You can thank my dad for the love of the game! While not as popular for the current generation in many people's eyes, all the intricacies involved are second to none in my opinion, though I might be a bit biased?!?

It will be a late night for Whitewater baseball fans on Friday, as their game vs Trinity is scheduled for a first pitch of 7:00 CST. Obviously any type of extra inning game or a weather delay will push that time back with three games being scheduled ahead of the Warhawks.

And it's super likely that game will run late. These games almost never get done in the windows that they are assigned to.

Last year that game started at 8:50 ET. In 2023 it was at 10:35 CT, and in 2022 it was at 8:40.

I remember one year in Appleton when we played the last game and it didn't end until after midnight.

I was driving home and it was about 3AM when I came across a kid hitchhiking so I picked him up. He was drunk and carrying a can of beer which I made him dump before he got in the car. He told me he was hitchhiking to get his car which I thought was kind of odd. After we drove a few miles I asked where he was headed and he told me a town that was in exact opposite direction from the one we were traveling. So I pulled over and when I told him he was headed in the wrong direction he started arguing with me. We debated for a minute or two before I could convince him and told him to go hitchhike on the other side of the road. He did that and I drove on. About a minute or two later a County Sheriff drove by me headed in his direction. I've always wondered what happened to that kid.

Game gets suspended by rain in the 5th inning and is resumed this morning, which forces Whitewater to go the the bullpen. A trio of hurlers get tge final twelve outs and Whitewater wins 7-3. Cootway continues to mash the ball in May with a HR and a triple to lead the offense.

Especially when you consider the fact that Whitewater hasn't thrown WIAC Pitcher of the Year Max Huseboe as of yet...
