Johnnie Red

TDT, I am getting into full party prep mode for tomorrow afternoon/evening. Less than 24 hours till the swearing-in ceremony in Shakopee. I am really going to miss this place. Got a nice gift certificate from my staff for a running store in Eden Prairie along with an album loaded with many memories of my being here over 20 years. Believe it or not, there are numerous comments about Paris Hilton from my staff. ;)

Looks like we are going to have a good turnout of Johnnies at the party tomorrow night. ROR will be making a guest appearance. OAS will be there also. Should be close to 250 people in attendance. Anyone still interested in attending, email me today or tomorrow morning.

ANTI-US TERRORIST CAPTURED TODAY

Ol' Rosie must have shaved, I swear the last youtube clip of her fat @$$ I saw, she had a better beard than I can grow!
Now accepting new patients. All bills must be paid in scotch shortly after any services rendered.  Sorry TDT, no problems below the waist.

Discovered by the Germans in 1904, they named it San Diego, which of course in German means a whale's vagina.

Well, congratulations Johnny Red!  Yet another Johnny on the bench.  From what I know of you, you seem to have the right disposition to be on the bench and not everyone who is on the bench does.  I have not appeared in state court in over 5 years but if I ever do get in front of you, whether for a speeding ticket or business, I'll try not to refrain from being my normal, obstreperous self.   ::)

I'll be there JJR! I just noticed I am two posts ahead of you on the board.

It is always a good idea to be a couple of steps ahead of the LAW!  ;D

Good idea Raider!  :D

bennie: Even though the Ducks are up 2-0 thus far, why do I feel like this series is just starting?  ???

Your take on the action please, as you are the most knowledgable NHL fan that I have never met.  ;)

Smartass! ;D

Here you go...

If the Spezza/Heatley/Alfredsson line doesn't clean up their act, this could be over soon (not that I would mind). They were pretty sloppy at times last night. If it weren't for Emery, the score would have just been ugly. His teammates need to block more shots/do a better job of clearing the zone so that he doesn't have to stand on his head to keep them in the game.

The Ducks did a fantastic job of keeping up the pressure in their offensive zone. The ice seemed tilted. I thought that the Duck's D did a good job of keeping the puck away from the net. I was impressed with Beauchemin. Jiggy was great. After a few less than stellar seasons, it is good to see him earning his paycheck. ;) I would like to see Dustin Penner get rolling for the Ducks. He made an impression during last season's playoffs but hasn't been quite as productive this year. Perry was annoying as usual. With as much as he chirps on the ice, it's no wonder he is a marked man! ;)

The shot of Snoop Dog in a Parros mustache was surreal! 8)

So what's your take?

SUMMIT!!!!!

Bennie- I continue to be impressed with your knowledgeable and intelligent posts on hockey. I'm pulling for the Sens, but both teams are championship caliber.

Fins-- that baby pic scared me... you are a shade old to be a new papa (heck, you're older than me)...glad to hear my initial guess was wrong!

Duff- I had the pelasure of crusing down Cty Rd I ...is that the main drag of Sartell?

Took in a town team b-ball game at St Stephen....very nice park there!

See everyone at the impeachment, I mean installation! :)  ;D

I compliment you on your knowledge of hockey and I'm a smartass?  ???    :-*

I agree on your take, especially on Emery. He and JSB have been outstanding.

Two 1 goal games and I would bet we'll see more of the same.

The big scoring line as you mentioned has been a non-factor. They haven't even been getting many shots off.

It seems like the Sens offense gets rolling off of turnovers at the blueline. The Ducks have done a good job keeping control of the puck and clearing their zone.

I'm still looking for a 7 game series.  :)

If I were a Sens fan, I would be a little worried about Emery. The pressure on him has got to be intense and it is going to be cranked up even more now that they will be back in Ottawa. Let's not forget that he is only 24. If his teammates don't pick it up, I don't think he will last long out there on the ice virtually by himself. One of his teammates that has impressed me is Anton Volchenkov. Granted, he has only one goal this year so Emery is going to need the other four warm bodies on the ice to do more than take up space. You've got to score to win! ;)

Perhaps the funniest thing about this (and the past two Stanley Cup finals) is how the media and some fans make it out to be US vs Canada. How some will cheer for the Sens because Ottawa is in Canada, never mind the fact that the Ducks have more Canadians on their team than the Sens.  8)

Good luck to the Godfather.  TDT will be there in spirit.  Hope you are roasted good!!

Anybody heard from Veek or Ritzy?  I just wanna make sure they are drinking sufficient quantities of Bombay Sapphire on the deck while grilling this summer.
