What a catastrophic hire he turned out to be. Fire the whole staff at the end of the season and start over.

The thing about the Jim Good era is that almost everyone associated with the program knew he wasn't the guy. There was nothing in his background indicating he was or qualifying him to even get an interview for the Redlands HC job or any other decent job in America. People that have worked with him know it and have told me privately (whether they'll admit it on the record or not they have personally told me). Heck, he wouldn't have gotten an interview for most of the decent private HS jobs in Socal. He was hired because he was there and the U of R AD at the time wanted to do the absolute least amount of work possible.

The Redlands job would have been attractive at the time. Would Brett Elliot have been interested? Probably not. But no way to know. That should have been a national search to get the absolute best guy. It wasn't and they promoted Jim Good and then took the rest of the afternoon off.

I feel bad for MM and all of the alumni who worked with their blood and sweat to build that program. Has to hurt to see it like this but better days are ahead.
