LD11 has successfully thrown up in his own mouth.  WTFF is pissed because she called 47 times when she got home last night(flew up north) and I was passed out and didn't answer the phone.  I wish her thoughts of me not answering because there was an 18 year old waitress in my bed were true, but unfortunately, I actually was passed out, and I am hungover, so I got the worst of both worlds in this deal.

cell phones should have a special ringer called "drunk" that cranks up to 80 db's when a certain number calls.

I actually had the phone on my chest.  I think you should have some paddles to plug into the phone, and when it rings, you here 'CLEAR!' and then you get shocked by the paddles.  And it helps in case you actually stop breathing, she can call everything half hour to get your heart going again.

LD you mean you weren't out at Hooters assessing the talent with the MLs and 40 wings/cheesh?  When the cats away the mice will play.

RE: Cell Phone ring tones/volume

TDT absolutely despises the douche bags who have their ring tone set so loud you could hear it 12 blocks away.  I am mean lets be serious.  Use your "vibrate mode" or I will bounce that thing off your grill.  Very obnoxious and the kicker is when these azz clowns have a "special" ring tone.  Please tell TDT that the LLPP don't have all the tricked out cellys with the rap or ESPN theme music blaring with Grandma calls.  TDT wants plain jane ring tones.  Keep it simple.

Absolutely, TDT standard ring tones only.  Actually the one that MR finds least annoying is the one I prefer most since I usually have it on a higher volume around the house.
And what is it with people constantly checking their cell phones?  Last week RegsBro was in town and I swear that he was checking that thing like he was getting paid.  "Dude, is your fantasy baseball team that freaking important?!?!"

Don't even get me started about crackberrys.....let's not even go there.

Gro- "Sheeeees got me spendinnnnnn"

Yea REG, TDT's bro checks his cellphone approximately every 6.3 seconds.  Very annoying and we've had words about this obnoxious habit.  He is constantly sending text messages to/with his love interest.  Now TDT doesn't mind an occasional text message.  But all the time, WTF??  TDT despises the tiny keys, character limitations, etc.  If it is that important pick up the phone and call me.  Everyone gets plenty of minutes these days and nights/weekends are free on virtually every plan.

Bottomline: Life was simpler before cellphones and perhaps better.  Now TDT loves the next big technology but people have no common sense with these things.  Not that difficult to shut them off before you enter the doctor's office, the movie theater, a business meeting, a quiet dinner, etc.

TDT- Reg never turns off his cell phone anymore and rarely leaves messages.  Bottom line, if the person I am calling rings more than 4 times, I know you see a missed call from me and will return it.  If it rings more than 2 and less than 4, I know you dropped the call into VM on purpose.  If it rings less than 2 you are either in a place where there is no service or your phone is off....in which case I will continue calling.

(all of the above is moot for Gro, he sucks at cell phones)

PS- What are these people texting to each other all day!!!!  I want to know what the heck I am missing!!!  ....6.3 seconds...BOL

finsleft

I just love those really important people with the bluetooth goiter on their ears all day. Like they're going to get a really important call at the supermarket? WTF ???
Just ring, baby. Except for Fins'GF ring...it's an air raid siren.

Damn TDT, you beat me to 800. >:(

bman

Bman HATES cell phone drivers.....If you have a head set fine....but STOP drifting in MY lane and driving with that far away glazed cell phone concentration look....

Bman has a co worker that does not realize that the person on the other end can hear you just the same as a regular phone ....STOP SCREAMING INTO THAT THING...they can hear you...

...sorry...Bman had to get that off his chest...

Re-blackberries....a true Bman conversation with his old boss:

Bman No, just geting to my e-mail
Boss  Well I sent it at 9:25 last night
Bman Well I am just getting to my email

Bman No I have a family
          Boss  So do I

Reg is definately "THAT GUY"
Sorry Bman.....I'm a loud cell phone talker....cant help it

Like last night at dinner, MR and I were sitting next to some people that were having a conversation...and she really isn't a loud talker.  After asking her 3 times to speak up I stopped her and just told her "if you don't speak up, I am done talking...and will sit here silently eating my food"

MR didn't quite appreciate how I handled the situation.

Well, I gotta disagree with you boys to an extent.  For the most part, I have normal ringers.  I have a different ring for WTFF, so if the phone isn't near me, I know it's her, and I HAVE to get up to get it.  (It's Michael Jackson, because SHE wanted to pick it).

When Gro or Regulator calls, I have the DMX Rough Riders Anthem.  When my nerdy 'stat boy' friend from home calls, I have the ESPN ring, and when my brother calls, i have the Chapelle's Show theme.  Oh and when home calls, I have the Star Wars Imperial Army theme.

I mean, I'm home all the time.  My phone is plugged in across the room most of the time, and that means I know who to answer and who not to.  But out in public, i'm always on vibrator baby.

RE:  Blue Tooth head sets...
Regulator, don't even think about it.  I want to PUNCH EVERYONE in the face who has one outside of their car.  Like sitting at dinner with a chick, with a blue tooth.  Or in line to cash your check at Wal-Mart.  Or at the Pawn Shop with some pliers trying to pull out your gold teeth for some spare change...

I don't do BT LD11......Reg is just a loud cell phone talker in general.  Reg too despises the BT headset.  Why do these manufactures make them so they are flashing all the time?  It isnt like the person wearing it can see it flashing!  I guess its for the "cool effect"

With the billion cell phone in the NY Metro area, JT usually goes vibrate.  But it does ring AC/DC's "Back in Black" at other times.   Generally JT only uses his cellphone when he is out of the office during the workday.  It is rarely used otherwise. JT's tries to avoid people that annoy him, why give them another avenue.

Pet peeve is people who ring his cell at the office when JT has the full complement of a receptionist and voice mail.  JT now turns off the cell at the office.  Who knew I'd have to retrain people to call me at the office number.
