I'm pissed....the last minute of the last episode of 'The Soprano's' and my TV breaks.......sound and picture....both gone!!

that WAS the ending... gro bucco thought the same thing.  Eh, not a bad ending they left it wide open.  Just glad Phil got whacked.

I hate that David Chase left it up to the viewers imagination....have some balls and make an ending.....screwing the die hard fans into waiting for the movie.

I'm still wondering what happened to that crazy Yugoslavian cat in the Pine Barrens.

Don't read this if you have not seen the final episode yet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

'Gro....the more I'm thinking of it, the last scene was through the eyes of Tony.....he was watching Meadow come through the door and watched that dude go ino the bathroom....he was looking at Meadow come through the door when everything went black and the music stopped.....me thinks the dude came out of the bathroom and whacked Tony.....that's why all went dead.  Also, remember the flashback to Bobby on the boat, "You probably can't even hear when it happens."

Still a brutal ending!!!

interesting theory.... thats what chase wanted, no definitive answer.

More importantly... my buddy calls me right afterwards to ask where the nudity was... I said "you didn't see the chick with no pants?"

Touchdown Tommy

The ending was PURE genius fellas.  Mr. Chase left millions of people yelling WTF at their "faulty" TVs.  Everyone is left guessing what happened/gonna happen.  Did the guy in the can come out and wack the entire family?  Is Tony F-ing Soprano just an immortal bad azz meant to live forever?  Maybe it is a setup for a movie.  Hard to pull off with so few of the characters still alive.  Maybe a prequel.

Bottomline:  They will sell 39 million DVD sets because you will have to buy them to see the "real ending".  Apparently they filmed 3 different endings so as to keep everyone including those in the know guessing.  Genius marketing and people will buy these things like hotcakes.

RE: Tomahawk Chop

I think I just saw Enginegro performing the chop at the Ted in Atlanta.  GRO were you posting from the Crackberry??
Chasing MILFs since '82...

'gro

gro watching beisbol during Tony Soprano's curtain call? never.

Gro called it that little carmine would help Tony solve his Phil problem.  Did anyone else think AJ was commiting some kind of duel nookie/suicide act with his jailbait GF?

PBR...

a waste of 8 seasons to end it like that...wtf....chase is the f'n creator have a beginning middle and END!!! pick a ending ....tony being led off to prison, or there is a guns a blazing ending with everyone there at the end and the family gets slaughtered but do something to leave it up to everyones imagination and have it finish the way you want it to finish? no thanks it was a waste of one of the most anticipated finale's and he blew it!

This is probably what Chase wants you thinking.  Definitely leaves the movie open.... prequel or sequel.  If Gandolfini is down for the movie, JT's thinking 20 mil + points.  Similar to Bruce Willis' deal for Sixth Sense when he pulled down over 60 mil when it was all said and done.

Soprano's sucked.  They wasted too much time in therapists offices and talking about AJ becoming an Al Quaeda and not showing his GF's b00bies, and showing stoopid Junior, and seeing what TV show was playing in Syl's hospital room.  It was just an hour of guessing 'When is 'IT' gonna happen?'   And 'IT' never did happen.  I think we deserve more.  I actually started hysterically laughing at the end, basically with the 'Of course it ends like this!'  THe last 2 seasons have set up for this, and we kept saying 'He's just setting the table for the amazing finish' and we'd be left high and dry, and now, we are forever left high and dry.

Atleast 'John from Cincinatti' was satisfying.

The ending was disappointing.  The way it was dragging.  JT figured the end might be a cliffhanger forever.  JT even replayed the last few minutes a few times, just in case he was missing something.  The coma salesman deal from last season was even worse.

Regulator

Reg is so glad he isn't a big fan of the sopranos.  After 8 seasons, I cannot believe they would leave it like that.  The diehard fans of the show must be really upset and feel like Chase "sold them out".

Hopefully TDT is right.

The funny thing is that I have been reading the reviews and they are all praising Chases ending?!?

gro has a feeling that there will NEVER be a sopranos movie.  Mr chase put the ending on he wanted. He wants people to talk about what might have happened to Tony Soprano... kinda like kevin spacey's character from SE7EN wants people to talk about his crimes for years.

So if you have a movie, you've got
A.) Tony's battle with NY isn't over (2 hour bloodbath, I like)
B.) Tony goes to court (boring)
C.) Tony dies... war ensues (would a sopranos movie w/o tony, sil, bobby, and christopher even float?)

But... Money talks. They would have to do a movie in the next 5 years, you don't want the characters to be too much older than they are now. Gro's putting a movie at 20% chance.

HOLLYWOOD, Fla., June 11  -- With "The Sopranos" now over, some of the
show's stars have dropped hints about a possible movie while visiting
Hollywood, Fla. to promote the show's finale.
Actor Steve Van Zandt, who played mob boss Tony Soprano's consigliere, Silvio
Dante, gave a cryptic answer of "We're not sure it's ending," after being asked
about the show's final episode that aired on HBO Sunday night, the New York
Post reported.
Asked about a movie stemming from the show, which ran for seven seasons over
nearly 10 years, Van Zandt replied, "A couple of years from now, who knows?"
His comment brought joy to "Sopranos" fans gathered at The Satin Dolls strip
club in Lodi, N.J., which is used as the Bada Bing joint on the show.
If a movie's made, "maybe then we can still have a job," said Suzie Quigley,
events manager at the Satin Dolls.
