You're the only dood on the board that doesn't know & accept that '57 can't spell.

Poor grammar and horrible spelling... it's just how he rolls.

PBR...

well we all knew it was only a matter of time as over the wire just came a story that the rest of the VH tour has been canceled due to eddie "having issues...."

Too bad.  Guy certainly made the most of what he had.

JT remembers seeing SRV "workout" at a joint in New Orleans shortly before the helicopter crash.  JT was in a blues bar with a couple of friends knocking 'em back, when SRV rolls in waves to the guy behind the bar and plugs in. This was mid-afternoon.  We are right next to the stage.  Talk about amazing.  He didn't just play the guitar, he became part of the guitar.

According to Q104.3 the NYC area concerts are still on.  TMZ was reporting the cancellation of the tour so you need to consider the source.

Wow.  TGP would have loved to have seen SRV in action like that.  Healey was definitely a SRV disciple of sorts - you can really hear the homage to SRV on the track "See the Light" from his debut album.  Jeff could really play.

We quizzed the bartender.  We were in this place five or so blocks off of Bourbon St., after hitting this local recommended po'boy joint.  Seemed like there were a lot more locals in the blues club too.  Apparently the newly sober SRV liked to start at home in Austin then head to NO and Memphis to warm up before a concert tour. He just showed up and jammed for about two hours to full but not packed club. Later that night he was with his whole band at another joint on Bourbon, that JT and friends couldn't even get near.

We felt that just Stevie alone was the better deal.  JT bought a bar t-shirt and has SRV's autograph on it.  It is packed in a plastic zip lock.  One of these days JT has to frame it.

Orlando Magic dancers they need to stop using high def digital pics for this stuff, there is a reason that magazines like playboy and penthouse use filters for pics.

Man!  You Yankees got great possibilities as red-necks!   :D

Thanks for sharing the links!  The "Gently weeps" track brings back great memories.

And one more,  except Jeff was at best a second tenor without a falsetto.  :-\
