nice LD did u hop in on this?

WILMINGTON, N.C., April 14 (UPI) -- A North Carolina gas station employee says
a day-long pricing gaff produced long lines of motorists eager to pump gas at
35 cents per gallon.
Hundreds of drivers took advantage of the nine-hour price plummet Thursday at
the Kangaroo Express BP in Wilmington, the Wilmington Star-News reported.
The mix-up began about 9 a.m. when a worker mistakenly set gas prices at 35
cents per gallon, instead of the intended $3.35, employee Shane Weller said.
Weller said employees didn't realized what happened until about 6 p.m. when
scores of cars started backing up on the streets around the station as word of
the dirt-cheap gas spread through the city.
"People had been coming in all day stiffing us, not telling us nothing," Weller
said.
The price was raised back up after workers called their manager about the flood
of traffic, but drivers piled in for some time afterward in hopes of finding
the 35-cent fuel.

LD11 doesn't pay for gas.  But regardless, that is hilarious...

The really funny part is that this went on from 9am - 6pm.

The avg SUV is between a 23-30 gal tank

JT's Accord is about 13 gals

Let's just say that every one pulling up already had half a tank.  So everyone is pumping between 7 - 15 gallons of gas.

@ 35 cents = $2.45 - $5.25  Actual ring up should have been $23.35 - $50.25.

It took these geniuses 8+ hrs to catch it.

1) Who were the idiots behind the register?  Each pump registers on a panel behind the counter.

2) Wouldn't a big line of cars make someone curious before 6pm?

The real sad part is these people get to vote.

Does it matter that they can vote?  This is North Carolina.  They would vote in Barney the Dinosaur as long as he was Republican.

PBR...

this line just still cracks pbr up...

"People had been coming in all day stiffing us, not telling us nothing," Weller said.

something about it just makes pbr LOL...the thought of these 2 knuckleheads behind the counter thinking wow look how busy we are today for gas and how long the lines are...+K to everyone down there who didnt tell them for hours as mpbr says you get what you pay for in hired help....mpbr used to correct people when they gave the wrong change in our favor but after years of doing this figures if bizness owners are going to pay people min. wage and not train them and check to see if they can add(eventhough most cash registers give you the correct change...) then f them and take the cash in your favor and walk...

JT just wishes it happened near his home, but stoopid NJ doesn't let you pump your own gas.

JT can sorta remember gas in the 50 cent range.  There was an period in time in the mid 80's when JT was getting gas for as cheap as 77 cents a gallon.

Sup LLPP?

TGP back from a long cruise/vacation in the Medittearean with a little Bart update.  Seems like Doyle is the likely starting QB this fall.  Kid played pretty well in the couple of times he filled in for Strom last season.

http://web.hws.edu/athletics/hobart/showrelease.asp?id=4598

Also - random LLPP sighting:

TGP saw a guy in Venice, Italy wearing a WPI wind-breaker.  Those bizarro-neers sure know how to get around.

Bonjourno!

Do they still bring the big Carafe of the house wine to the table in Italy?  KS used to love the house wine, it was always good and cheap.
