Somewhere back in the LLPP archives, The Rev calls upon Hobart to move back to D-III lax.
Don't worry, TGP, it's a better fit for the school.  Also, The Rev thinks we'll see that D-III has improved enough over the past decade that Hobart will have true runs for our money with similar-sized schools.  Schools we would have stomped in 1999 will not be so easy in 2009.  (But Bart will be back on top, no matter.)

Trust The Rev.  He has a sixth sense for these things.

I agree that in the long run this may be for the best, but the way the BOT, Gearan, etc handled this move was f-ing terrible.  To drop a bomb like that on 4/26 is just brutal.  Totally f's over the incoming frosh who now need to scramble to find a school in the 11.5 hr of the admissions process (most schools are mailing decisions on 5/1), plus f's over the 42 other kids, their parents and extended families with no news prior.

Biggest irony is that Bart is currently 8-5 and in the hunt for an at-large NCAA bid (would be the 5th in their 14 yr D1 history which is better than Colgate for example who've been in D1 even longer than Bart but just earned their first ever D1 bid last Saturday).

roger clemens wtf?  your 28 yrs. old sleeping w/ a 15 yr. old girl you met at karoke night? and  had a prolonged affair w/ her? this dood should be in jail for multiple offenses period. how his wife stays w/ him is beyond me...this doods life has gone in the complete crapper over the last 12 months

.....so......pbr strolls into the crib from a stressful day at work and proceeds to hear many a crying something....pbr looks into the bathroom and see's 12 freakin ducklings in the bathtub....wtf?   mpbr proceeds to tell about how she was out walking w/ the youngest crumb gobbler and saw how all these ducklings fell down into a drain thru the grate....well  mpbr rescues all of them!!! pbr says these things are gone by friday or pbr is having duck l'orange for the next 2 weeks....pbr's neighbor has a small farm and pond and looks like he will take them thankfully...

They have started teaching gang awareness for the students and parents/guardians in Pre-K in the Jersey City public schools.  The gangs are actually recruiting little kids starting about the age of 4 or 5.

BASEL, Switzerland, April 30 (UPI) -- Swiss chemist Albert Hofmann, considered
the the father of LSD, died Tuesday at his home in Basel, Switzerland, at the
age of 102.
Rick Doblin, president of  the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic
Studies, said Hoffman died of a heart attack.
Hofmann first synthesized the compound lysergic acid diethylamide in 1938 and
discovered the drug's psychopharmacological effects five years later when he
accidentally took the substance, The New York Times reported. He went on to
take LSD hundreds of times the newspaper said.
He said that LSD is a valuable psychiatry tool but was disturbed by the use of
LSD for entertainment, the newspaper said. Hofman told psychiatrist Stanislav
Grof in 1984 that LSD experience made him "aware of the wonder of creation, the
magnificence of nature and of the animal and plant kingdom."
