Yes, that is where Ignacio Cubbedu ended up, and yes, he did indeed play for Amherst in 2019.

Always wondered if he was kicked out of school, was the most talented midfielder in NESCAC for about 3 seasons, then he liked felled out of sight.

The 2020-2021 season did not happen due to the COVID pandemic, Cubeddu played his second season in 2021-2022, took an academic gap year in 2022-2023, returned to Amherst for his junior (third) season and played that in 2023-2024, and he was injured after the first game of his senior season at Amherst last year and got a medical waiver.  Cubeddu graduated from Amherst in the spring of 2025 and then entered Emory as a grad transfer where he is playing out his final year of eligibility.

BTW, in case you were wondering, Ignacio Cubeddu scored a goal vs NYU in that same game that he picked up his 5th yellow card of the season.   Cubeddu comes into today's match vs WashU with 11 goals scored by him for Emory on the season, and 1 goal scored in UAA play.
