Today is the last slate of regular season games involving NESCAC teams.  Ten of the eleven teams in the NESCAC conference play today.  The only team in the conference that has finished their regular season is Hamilton (currently in solo 4th place in the conference with 16pts: https://nescac.com/standings.aspx?standings=390).

Later this afternoon the new USC National Poll 8 will come out, but based on the current rankings, three of the NESCAC teams are currently in the top 25 and playing today.  #4 Tufts is hosting Bowdoin, and then #14 Williams is hosting #10 Middlebury.  In the conference standings, Tufts and Williams are tied for 1st with 20pts and Middlebury is in solo 3rd with 18pts.

The only other team in the top 25 playing today is #15 Loras who is playing at Central (IA) this afternoon.

I just saw that the NPI ranking updated again today 10/27/25 (https://stats.ncaa.org/selection_rankings/season_divisions/18605/nitty_gritties).  I thought they went to daily updates the week before the NCAA Championship selections but we are still almost two weeks out from that.??

Here is the new USC National Poll - 8 for games through 10/26/25: https://unitedsoccercoaches.org/rankings/college-rankings/ncaa-diii-women/

As suspected Wash U and Emory flip-flop and Wash U returns to #1 with Emory now #2.

Chicago's two losses over the weekend drop them from #3 down to #7 with Tufts, Messiah, Case Western, and Pomona-Pitzer all slotting up a spot to #3, #4, #5, and #6 respectively.

With the game just ending, #12 Williams (based on this afternoon's USC National - Poll 8) beat #10 Middlebury at home 1-0.

That puts Williams in first place (temporarily) in the conference with 23pts.  However, #3 Tufts will host Bowdoin at 6pm EDT tonight and if they win will tie Williams for 1st place in the conference with 23 pts.  With Tufts winning the head to head they will secure home field throughout the conference championships.

#154
Tonight (10/29/25) there are six games involving top 25 teams.  All of them are in-conference games:

6pm: #11 Rowan at TCNJ (NJAC)
6pm: #8 MIT at Emerson (NEWMAC)
7pm: Dickinson at #28 Johns Hopkins (Centennial)
7pm: #4 Messiah at York(PA) (MAC-Commonwealth)
7pm: #13 Swarthmore at Washington (Centennial)
7pm: Delaware Valley at #16 Misericordia (MAC-Freedom)

The two games that are the most evenly matched and with the most implications for conference standings, would be the Dickinson at Hopkins game and the Messiah at York game.

Dickinson (ranked 36 NPI) sits in second place with 19 points in the conference and Hopkins (ranked 21 NPI) sits one point back (18 points) in third place.  The first two teams in the conference get a buy for the first round and then are guaranteed to host the second round game.

Messiah (ranked 9 NPI) and York (ranked 53 NPI) are both undefeated in the conference and tied for first with 15 points each.

Both the Centennial and MAC-Commonwealth conferences have their last conference games this weekend, but the weekend games should be a little more lopsided in their favor.  However, when playing in your conference, certainly upsets are always a potential.

Just an FYI - it looks like the NPI rankings will be updating daily from now through selection Monday (11/10/25).
