Quote from: ChickenHoops on February 21, 2026, 11:14:17 AMHeather wants me to go to a dinner tonight, cocktails start when Point game tips off.  Apparently a fancy place, I have to wear a suit. Going to try to listen to the game in my earpiece, hope the reception is good.

I have the same reservations I had last game, I think the Pointers are running on fumes.  Hope I'm wrong. Heather thinks Oskar Kangas will go off. Best 3P shooting will win this one.

Pro tip: If going to an expensive enough restaurant where you need to wear a suit, I suggest complete media blackout until retiring to the coop. After Heather slips into "something more comfortable," you can both watch the livestream playback with zero knowledge of the result.

You are welcome.  8-)

Stout got the ball with .4 seconds left on a baseline throw in full court, C-Hoops.
When Oshkosh scored the game was over.

Jump ball call with 1.5 left, which I didn't agree with, gave Osh the ball. Terrible defense on a backdoor screen, easy layup for the win.
This L and the Point loss are tough last 2 home games.

It's the hot new varsity sport for women, utilizing facilities that schools already have in place.

Maybe if Oshkosh was adding ice hockey, which the WIAC would love, it would be a bigger announcement to some. But it's still a big deal, if that's what the announcement actually turns out to be.

CH - no ire from me. I heard it was a concern over playing time, but that's not inside information, just conjecture.

I am glad he is a BlueDevil.

Guessing they are announcing the addition of women's flag football.

Anyone have any idea what Oshkosh Athletics' "major announcement" is?

Could be that they are adding women's flag football.

The 1 for 2 was off a flagrant foul 2, which also gave the ball to the Devils.
Correct on the foul shots via drive. Oshkosh had 5 seconds to work with that resulted in a long shot at the buzzer that missed.

D3fanboy, maybe he was talking about repeating in the conference and not the national championship.

Regardless, I wager that UWRF has a better chance of winning the Super Bowl next year than you have of getting within smelling distance of Sydney Sweeny's perfume.  ;D

Money can come from various streams. Living the D3 lifestyle is wealth enough for many.

Quote from: Greek Tragedy on January 21, 2026, 05:44:51 PMPicking a girl over the Pointers could be the end of you. And I thought you were a fan.

Greek, he already said "she has quiet hotness" so c'mon, how do the Pointers compete with that?

The guy has been hanging with chickens and not chicks up until recently.

Heather is a nice name.

Dear Oz,

Cut a hole in the ice, get a plastic bucket to turn over and sit on and face northwest for luck. You may hook onto the elusive muskellunge.

As far as the Hamm's commercial, I do feel like I remember it, or perhaps it's just a Grizzly Adams flashback.

Good you got out of town for awhile, I hear on the news the sharks are feasting down under. Welcome home.  8-)

Quote from: fredfalcon on January 02, 2026, 10:41:21 PMDon't know what difference it makes, if any, but Kaleb Blaha won the Gagliardi Award. He got almost 70% of the votes. The Curry College running back got second place.

Would have been surprised if he hadn't won the award. Well deserved.

Congrats to Blaha and the whole team on the honor.

I'm still trying to reconcile how they lost to Oshkosh.
