Crukid,

I think you are on something. HSU will be good again next year. They will still recruit. The players will still play hard and the offense will continue to move the ball. I agree McM is much improved but there is still a LONG way to go! I questioned Ralph's use of the term MASTER in regards to Hal Mumme. Perhaps Ralph was attempting to stroke the ego of a man who doesn't appear to need much help in that area. As for McM moving perhaps in a few years we will be glad they are gone. But remember when the Cowboys and Indians meet the indians move to Oklahoma!

I'm not saying HSU will be a bad offensive team. I am saying we should expect them to take a few steps backwards offensively this year. HSU is losing a super senior quarterback, a super senior wide receiver, and their next most productive wide receiver. In a pass first offense you don't just replace that production. Furthermore, they're undergoing their first head coaching change in 21 years and the long time offensive coordinator just left. If you believe all that change won't disrupt the offense you've got more optimism than Mary Poppins.

My comment on the "master" (lower case) was clearly directed toward the culture in the coaching profession (and other professions as well) about how valuable it is to have an OC job for someone like Coach Mumme on the resume'.

Coaches use the old resume' enhancement ploy as a modus operandi.  When one reads the biographies on the sites of BCS schools, the whole bio is about where one has coached, on whose staff they served, and which players are in the NFL that they coached, who won a Heisman/Doak Walker/Remington, etc.

The number of applicants will be numerous.  Coach Mumme will have his pick of a very well qualified individual.

heard a rumor of ETBUs season opener next year (waiting on the contract to be signed before its official) and it will be HUGE for ETBU if it happens

ETBU has gone anywhere in the country to play quality opponent.

If ETBU wins this game, then they are in the Top 25 the next week. :)

Is it a home-and-home?

 Ralph
That information do not have... All I can say is that CNU dropped their commitment to Wesley. And that Wesley only has 6 DIII opponents, 5 of which are in region. Tentatively scheduled Charleston Southern which is a FCS school who plays Florida st next year and Walsh which is in Ohio  naia i believe..

They have. It was nice to see them at St. John's a couple years ago, for example.

The Charleston Southern game should be revenue neutral at worst, I hope.

Wow can't believe what I just saw on ESPN, in Mel Kiper's Top 5 receivers for this years draft #5 was Cecil Shorts of Mt. Union.  :o

ETBU making some tremendous headway this past month.......getting committments from the Texas Sports Writers Class AAA OFFENSIVE POY (QB from Carthage) and getting the Associated Press Class AA POY (RB from Godley)...both players were honored last weekend at Cowboy Stadium by the Ford Built Tough Player of the Week and Year banquet......
