The Cru O is anemic. We have got to make some improvement. How long will it take for them to make a QB change?
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

Yes, The Cru O needs to make improvements. It appears that instead of playing solid football with the purpose of moving the football forward they are nursing their lead. Its been to The Cru's advantage that Linfield has not been firing on all cylinders. If Linfield gets things straighten out The Cru will have a tough time.

Congrats to the CRU.  The defense was legit and won the game for them.  Best of luck to you guys.  Hope to meet up again this season :)

Game two, against a major opposition, overall a solid performance, D line were beasts, so was the Linfield D Line. O on both sides need to tighten things up. I think people have to take into consideration who the Cru faced, Linfields D were no nancys on the field. If they were nancys and we had a hard time I would say some serious work needs to be done.
So yeah, the O needs to tighten things up some, some was the play calls as well, but the overall strategy of the game worked, hang onto the ball, grind up the field and grind up the time and don't give. O performed that so I'll give them an A- performance.
By the way, this in no ways demean any nancys out there, I am sure your fine people.

Football never disappoints when trying to surprise you.  TLU lined up for a approximately 20 yard field goal late in the first half.  The field goal was blocked! But...it did not pass the line of scrimmage.  TLU's kicker proceeded to kick the ball a second time through the uprights!   :o  When I say a second time, I mean on the same play. The ball landed on the turf and the kicker went up and kicked it again.  I have never seen this or heard of it.  Referees called it good.  TLU leads 17 - 0 against Belhaven at half.  Crazy!

It is as crazy as it sounds. Just one of those strange things that happens but crazy none the less.

Quote from Oregon Live web site

QuoteLinfield's offense was no match for the Crusaders' defensive front, as the Wildcats scored the fewest points of Joseph Smith's 12-year coaching era. It was the fewest points the Wildcats have scored since getting shutout by Southern Oregon in 2001.

TLU 37 - Belhaven 0!  Scores says it all. TLU's defense was great!  The Offense had a great game plan.  Belhaven could not stop the run and TLU exploited that in the first half. Bulldogs then went to the air in the second half.  Obviously, next week at UMHB is a tough test.  TLU is improving but to expect a win next week is unrealistic.  Despite that, I am looking forward to watching.  TLU's coaches have them playing hard, with passion, and well.

There is one other thing that (I think anyway) is telling, there were no forced turnovers for either side (If I remember correctly) there were some turnovers on downs. So while people might want to get on the offensive side of the ball, to me that tells me they protected it pretty damn well. So it's an offense in the making, I believe they will be alright.
