That's a fair question. I had Fox and Lewis and Clark going as well. I think I had the audio on at that point because Fox/L&C were at the half...maybe. But hey, at this point, bad football is about all we have in the NWC ('Cat's excluded hopefully). Even Whitworth looked like a bad HS JV team last weekend.

That said, I must be old-fashioned but I figure from two yards out a good team ought to be able to run the ball in ...

I saw a wide open wildcat towards the end of the game that easily could've been a touchdown

The play calling on that last series was truly baffling. I was fine with the pass attempt on first down but after that we should have put McNabb under center, handed it off toe Obaggy with a full head of steam and if Chapman was able to stop him then hats off to them. The actual play calling was just horrible and was for a lot of the night.

Special teams killed us (blocked punt for a TD, penalties that negated good returns including the one that led to the fake punt, and of course 3 missed FGs......). This team can still probably win the Conference (if they play to their potential) and will likely then have a chance to avenge this loss....just an ugly game on all fronts.....

The fake punt was the turning point of the game - without that I'm not sure the rest of the game plays out the way it did. Without that, Linfield gets the ball with just enough time for another drive that could have made it 21-7, then the 'Cats get the ball to start the third quarter.

Instead, Chapman keeps the ball, gets a psychological boost after giving up 14 straight points, and scores to tie the game at halftime. That's a pretty big swing.

Agreed--and all set-up by penalties....and yet....even with that....'Cat's could have (and should have) taken a lead (QB's poor throw for an INT when the WR was open and the complete failure on the last series were both places where other Cat teams would have come away with points).

Fox looks solid as they finally have a good looking offense. 'Cats have a lot to clean up and we need some better decision making out of QB1.

Special teams as a whole need to take very long look in the mirror as a unit.

Love the fight that put Linfield on the edge of victory but honestly, it never should have come down to that.

Yup--plenty of blame to go around......

I'm not sure Fox's offense is that great but their D may present a similar challenge to what we saw in Orange this past weekend...

For sure Fox is going to try to gameplan taking McNabb's legs away because he brutalized them last season.

Linfield has forever been a program to share the load running the ball but if I could have one wish it would be to make O'Bagy the starter and feature him with 15-20 rush attempts a game. He's different and should have a bigger role, IMO.

Preaching to the choir on O-baggy--he doesn't go down on the first hit (or the 2nd, 3rd.....etc.). Nor sure what happened to Pfeifer...he looked like a stud in the making his first year and just hasn't been the same since he took a starting role.
