It's actually abbreviated NCC.

It took me a minute, but I assume that is Northfield Community College???  ;D

That is certainly possible; Concordia is a tough matchup.

True, and SJU beat Concordia ;)

Truthfully, I could see the SJU/Ole matchup going either way.  Same with the Concordia/Ole matchup.  But I don't think the Oles will win both, and I think SJU has a better shot than the Cobs.

I just got around to reading yesterday's Johnnie article in the Star Trib.

QuoteFormer football player Joe Mucha is helping raise money to give several Johnnies sports what they need, including new turf in Clemens Stadium and a domed facility that can be used by everyone.

When did this happen and where is this domed facility?

Old news Duff....where have you been?   ;)  I believe the location of the dome and new turf field will be the old football practice field.  In a couple years SJU will have two turf football surfaces and a artificial baseball surface.
I've heard that U$T is looking at the Ford truck plant property in Highland as a site for their D1 football complex.  ;)

**NEW SJU ATHLETIC FACILITY CAMPAIGN**
SJU is currently involved in a campaign to enhance its athletic facilities, including a facelift of the Johnnies' baseball facilities. The multi-million dollar upgrades include installment of an artificial grass surface, renovation of the dugouts and construction of a grandstand that will include bathrooms, concessions and a press box.

The campaign's other upgrades include the installment of another artificial-grass surface for a seasonal dome, lights in Clemens Stadium, new tennis courts, a pedestrian tunnel linking the Warner Palestra with the lower athletic fields, and expansions to the athletic training room and fitness center, among others.

Also check out.

Great location-right on the river and stumbling distance from Stiffany's!

Blast! (Stewie Griffin voice)  SJU has some sort of spell on the cobbers no matter where the game is played.  SJU could go 1-9 during any given season and that 1 win would be against the Cobbers.

I like the fact that 2 MIAC schools can get into the playoffs and that STO could win out. I am on the band wagon that says STO will lose out.  If they go into the playoffs I would have a hard time rooting against MIAC schools.

Not true!  2-9 maybe, but 1-9 and the lone victory would have to be against Hamline  ;D

I've had this debate on this board before and I know it is not the popular opinion, but I am all for more MIAC representation in the playoffs. Just raises the profile of the conference IMO and as much as we'd rather not admit it, that's good for ALL of us. Toms are in...here's one guy hoping the Oles win out and make the field.

Typical $JU, throwing dollars around for facility improvements. So antithetical to the D3 spirit, I'm ashamed for your school.  :)

It isn't exactly your typical U$T briefcase full of money, but we make due:

It's not the size of the sword, but rather how you handle it.  ;D

Sag,

Do you hear that sword line from your lady? ;D
