If Endicott submitted a bid then CMS as the lower seed would go there.  Amazing job by CMS who will need that firepower against a very, very good Gulls team.

Trinity has already announced they will host McMurry in their Sunday game summary and their schedule page.  I checked Endicott - they have not updated either.

It will be interesting to see how CMS does against the Gulls pitching. La Verne and CLU pitchers all had very low ERA's until they faced CMS. CLU held on a little better than LV, but 2 of those games it was cold and rainy and the wind was blowing in. It looks like the Endicott field is small and CMS hits a ton of bombs.

I looked at Endicott's season and found these games of significance.

JHU W 4-3
Ramapo W 13-2
Denison L 3-11
TCNJ  W 10-1
J&W Providence 5-0

I am cautiously optimistic that CMS will be competitive. The SCIAC is a tough conference.

CMS pitching is much better than the numbers show. The ERA's in the SCIAC are super inflated due to having to face a gauntlet of great hitting teams. It will be probably be the best super to watch this weekend. Seems like tons of interest across social media.

McMurry was competitive versus TUTX this season (losing 5-1, 5-2, and 6-5, giving up 4 runs in the bottom of the 9th, so McM fans can be optimistic.

I want 2 Region X teams in the Championship!

DickWhitman

McMurry is one I think has a great chance to pull off the upset. 2 teams in the finals would be awesome!

Considering the outcomes of the 1st of the super-regionals by the NPI's, there is a high probability #9 Trinity should beat #41 McMurry by 5 runs. Only Messiah confounded the model with their upset of Salisbury.

Ralph: Your #2494 was more accurate than #2496. TU had to come from behind and won game one 5-4. McMurry is a very competitive team. The thing Trinity has going for them is that they have played a lot of close 1 run games and when you do that you develop a lot of confidence when you get to the supers and CWS as most of those games are had fought and close.

Sorry that CMS could not force a 3rd games against Endicott!

I am glad that the NCAA allowed the Trinity McMurry games to be moved back.
(I am not getting either video or LiveStats from Trinity. I do not see rain on the radar since noon.)

The game may not start until 4:00 PM CDT, not EDT. I clicked on the "8PM game" to get LiveStats.

Nice run by McMurry. They trailed 4-3 going into the 7th, then TUTx ran away with 1 in the 7th, 2 in the 8th and 3 in the 9th to win 10-4.

Good luck to TU. I hope that the postseason for you to this point will send you prepared to bring the Walnut and Bronze back to Region 10.

Helluva run by your War Hawks, Ralph - you never would have known they hadn't won a post-season game in team history.

Trinity does what it's done all season - hope the starter can keep things close for the first few innings, then turn the game over to the bullpen until the hitters figure things out.

Believe it or not Trinity went to their first CWS 10 years ago and over the past 10 years they have won it once and this will be the 4th time during the past 10 years. Baseball is indeed a strange game.

Go Region X. CMS did better in game #2 versus Endicott but the NPI seems to be holding true-to-form. Rowan over Lynchburg makes sense since I believe that the NJAC is a much tougher conference.  Rowan and Kean and the other 3 play-off teams from the NJAC are more battle tested.

Messiah is the real Cinderella. Let's see how they do. Unless something really unusual happens, and Messiah wins one game in East Lake, then Phill Sallenberger is my National Coach of the Year. Josh Lee is my Region X Coach of the Year. TUTx's Coach Scannell getting his second ring would deserve consideration nationally.

(When TUTx defects to the SAA, can we still consider them Region X? Maybe give them Ambassadorial status...)

Yes, McMurry was 0-4 in two previous trips to the NCAA post-season.
